Wildflower Terrace is a 201-unit mixed-income, mixed-use rental community for persons 55+ to be located at the northeast corner of Berkman Drive and Tom Miller Street in the Tower District of the Mueller community.
The four-story building will include a mix of 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments, with features such as ceiling fans, 9 foot ceilings, energy-rated appliances, and washer/dryer hookups. Residents will enjoy garage parking with a limited access gate and many units will offer Austin skyline views.
Common amenities will include a community activity room with covered terrace, movie theater, fitness center, art studio, library, laundry facilities, business center, outdoor courtyard, and management/leasing offices.
Residents will enjoy access to Southwest and Southeast Greenways with their walking trails and native vegetation, commercial and retail amenities along Berkman Boulevard, as well as other amenities in the Mueller community – such as swimming pools, parks, shopping and convenient public transportation to downtown, the University of Texas, and the Texas Capitol.
The Wildflower Terrace lifestyle will be available to an economically-diverse population. 174 apartment units will have rental affordability for persons with incomes at or below 80% of the Area Media Income (AMI). The remaining 27 units will be available for persons with incomes above 80% of AMI.
Wildflower Terrace is being developed by DMA Development Company, LLC and managed by DMA Properties, LLC. Architecture services were provided by Nelsen Partners, Inc., and Carleton Construction, Ltd. is providing construction services. Construction commenced in November 2010 and it is anticipated that initial occupancy will commence in December 2011.
